How Italus works

From the author’s intent to the accepted page.

Italus is designed around a deliberate loop: establish truth, generate within boundaries, revise with agency, and record the decisions that matter.

Build the canon

Define characters, relationships, settings, chronology, terminology, and non-negotiable facts before asking AI to draft.

Set prose rules

Describe voice, viewpoint, sentence rhythm, banned habits, punctuation limits, and preferred narrative techniques.

Compose with context

Generate a scene or chapter against the current canon and active style constraints, rather than an isolated prompt.

Edit and resubmit

Rewrite directly, give new direction, compare iterations, and continue until the passage reflects the author’s intent.

Accept deliberately

Only the author can decide when prose becomes part of the working manuscript or final chapter.

Review the ledger

Follow the project history of generations, edits, approvals, and token usage for creative and budget accountability.

Human judgment remains visible

The loop is the product.

The goal is not one-click fiction. The goal is a controlled studio in which the author can see, shape, and account for every meaningful step.
